The Bachelor of Business (2026 indicative sequence) provides a structured pathway to develop foundational knowledge, practical skills, and professional experience across key business areas.Year 1 introduces core business principles: financial decision-making, economics, business digitalisation, and contemporary management. In the second semester, students explore sustainability, entrepreneurship, financial statistics, and marketing fundamentals. Electives allow for early specialisation and personalisation of study.Year 2 focuses on advanced business competencies. Major units such as Financial Information Systems and Management Accounting and Business Intelligence build analytical and technical expertise, while Law of Commerce and Company Accounting develop understanding of legal frameworks and corporate finance. Additional electives provide flexibility to tailor learning to your interests and career goals.Professional placement options give students 6–12 months of immersive, work-integrated experience. These placements combine practical industry work (WEI units) with academic reflection and assessment (Integrated Professional Placement units), allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. Elective Business Practice units, such as Sustainable Business Practice, Future Work Skills, internships, and study tours, further enhance employability and global awareness.Overall, the course balances academic study, practical skill development, and professional exposure to prepare students for careers in finance, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and other business sectors.
