COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Aviation Management requires students to complete a total of 300 credit points, with most units valued at 12.5 credit points each. Full-time students typically complete 100 credit points per year, equivalent to eight standard units, and one credit point represents one hour of study per week per semester, including both contact hours and independent study. The program combines core aviation knowledge, practical project work, and industry-focused learning to prepare graduates for careers in aviation management and operations.Core units provide a structured foundation in aviation systems, safety, analytics, and operational management. Students begin with The Global Aviation System and Regulatory Framework (AVA10001) and Essential Aviation Analytical Skills (AVA10011), gaining an understanding of industry structures, regulations, and analytical methods. Units such as Aviation Project: Blue Sky Ideas (AVA10014) and Aviation Safety and Risk Management (AVA10017) introduce project-based learning and develop expertise in safety protocols and risk management. In the second year, Aviation Project: Managing Implementation (AVA20024) and Human Factors in Aviation (AVA20025) deepen knowledge in operational planning, human factors, and organisational management. The program culminates with capstone units, Aviation Capstone 1: Project Planning (AVA30008) and Aviation Capstone 2: Project Implementation (AVA30009), where students apply their learning to complex, real-world aviation projects.This combination of theoretical study, practical projects, and professional development ensures that graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for roles in airport and airline operations, aviation management, safety and compliance, and emerging areas such as Advanced Air Mobility.
