COURSE CURRICULUM

The indicative sequence for Semester 1, 2026, provides guidance for students planning their studies in the Bachelor of Arts program, helping them balance core, major, and elective units. Students are advised to use the study plan template available via the student portal alongside their course planner to organize their academic progression. The sequence may vary depending on advanced standing, exemptions, or other factors, and while the unit information is accurate at the time of publication, changes may occur.In Semester 1, students will complete the core unit Skills and Strategies for Social Change (ART20003), which equips them with practical tools to create meaningful social impact. The major unit First Nations Resistance, Activism and Empowerment (INS20004) explores Indigenous histories, activism, and strategies for empowerment, fostering understanding of social justice and cultural advocacy. Students also select two elective units, allowing flexibility to pursue personal interests and broaden their academic experience.Semester 2 includes the major unit International Indigenous Perspectives (INS20002), which examines global Indigenous knowledge, activism, and perspectives.
