COURSE CURRICULUM

The indicative sequence for Semester 1, 2026, provides guidance for planning studies in the Bachelor of Arts program and should be used in conjunction with the study plan template available via the student portal and the course planner. Students should note that the sequence may vary depending on advanced standing, exemptions, or other factors, and while the unit information is accurate at the time of publication, changes may occur.In Semester 1, students will complete the core unit Technology and Society (ART10002), which examines the impact of technology on human societies and explores how technological change shapes social, cultural, and economic development. The major unit Fundamentals of Criminology (CRI10002) introduces students to the principles and theories of criminology, providing a foundation for understanding crime, law, and justice systems. Alongside these, students select two elective units, allowing them to tailor their learning to individual interests and career goals.Semester 2 includes the major unit Crime in a Globalised World (CRI10003), which examines the global dimensions of crime, including transnational criminal activity, international law, and the social, economic, and political factors that influence crime across borders.
