The Bachelor of Accounting at Swinburne is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial, managerial, and business principles over several semesters. In Semester 1, 2026, students begin with core units such as Financial Information for Decision Making (ACC10007), Contemporary Management Principles (MGT10009), Economics for Business Decision Making (ECO10005), and Business Digitalisation (INF10024). In Semester 2, the focus shifts to Creative Mindset and Entrepreneurship (BUS10015), Financial Information Systems (ACC10008), Financial Statistics (FIN10002), and an elective unit, allowing students to tailor their learning to specific interests.In the second year, Semester 1 emphasizes Management Accounting for Planning and Control (ACC20007), Company Accounting (ACC20013), and Financial Management (FIN20014), with an additional elective, while Semester 2 includes Law of Commerce (LAW20019), Auditing (ACC30010), and two elective units.
