COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Landscape Architecture program is designed to provide advanced knowledge and professional skills in landscape design, research, and practice. In the first year, students complete five core courses totaling 84 credit points, including Landscape Architecture Design Research Studio 7 and 8, Design Research Seminars 1 and 2, and Landscape Architecture Professional Practice. These courses focus on developing students’ design capabilities, research skills, and understanding of professional practices in landscape architecture. In addition, students select one elective course, which may be a Landscape Architecture Postgraduate Elective, a Special Initiative course, or a University Postgraduate Elective, allowing for specialization and alignment with individual interests and career goals.In the second year, students undertake four advanced courses totaling 96 credit points, including Landscape Architecture Masters Design Research Projects A and B, along with Design Research Seminars 3 and 4. These courses emphasize independent research, complex design problem-solving, and applied professional practice. The program combines studio-based learning, research seminars, and professional practice components to equip students with the creative, technical, and analytical skills needed to address contemporary landscape architecture challenges. Graduates are prepared for careers in landscape design, planning, urban development, environmental management, and related professional fields, with strong competencies in both research and practical application.
