COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Finance program is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in financial analysis, investment management, and risk assessment, preparing them for careers in global finance and related industries. In the first year, students begin with a series of compulsory onboarding modules to establish a strong foundation in financial theory and quantitative methods. In Semester One, they complete four core courses: Financial Statement Analysis, Managerial Finance, Quantitative Financial Methods and Modelling, and Global Financial Markets and Institutions, which collectively equip students with analytical, technical, and market knowledge essential for financial decision-making. In Semester Two, students further develop their expertise by completing Corporate Financial Management, Financial Econometrics, and Fixed Income Securities and Credit Analysis, gaining advanced skills in corporate finance, statistical financial modeling, and credit evaluation. Additionally, students select one elective course from the program’s option list, allowing them to tailor their studies to specific professional interests or career goals.In the second year, the focus shifts toward investment and risk management. Semester One requires completion of three specialized courses: Alternative Securities, Options, Futures and Risk Management, and Portfolio Management. These courses provide in-depth understanding of derivative instruments, alternative investment vehicles, risk hedging strategies, and portfolio construction techniques, preparing graduates to make informed investment decisions in complex financial environments. Overall, the program combines rigorous theoretical training with practical applications, emphasizing quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making. Graduates emerge with the technical proficiency, analytical capabilities, and professional knowledge required to excel in investment banking, asset management, financial consulting, and other finance-related roles within global markets.
