COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Design Innovation and Technology is structured over two years, providing a comprehensive and immersive experience for students seeking to advance their skills in design and technology. In the first year, students complete two core courses, Research Studio and Technology Studio, each carrying 24 credit points, which establish a strong foundation in design research and technological application. Alongside these, students select four courses from the program’s Options List, allowing them to tailor their learning to specific interests and career goals. One course may also be chosen from the Approved University Postgraduate Elective list, providing additional flexibility and the opportunity to broaden expertise across disciplines. In the second year, students focus on higher-level design and innovation through three major courses: Innovation Studio, and the two-part Design Innovation and Technology Major Project, each worth 24 credit points. These courses emphasize the practical application of design thinking, technological integration, and creative problem-solving in real-world contexts. Through the combination of research, studio work, and major projects, students develop advanced skills in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing innovative solutions. This program prepares graduates for leadership roles in design-focused industries, equipping them with the ability to address complex challenges, integrate emerging technologies, and contribute strategically to creative and technological projects across a wide range of sectors.
