COURSE CURRICULUM

Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Professional Communication double degree, students must complete a total of 32 courses (480 credit points), with study distributed across both legal and communication disciplines. The Bachelor of Laws component requires 24 courses (288 credit points), including 19 core law subjects that build a strong foundation in legal principles, reasoning, and practice, along with five approved law option courses (60 credit points) that allow for specialisation in selected areas of legal study. The Bachelor of Professional Communication component consists of 16 courses (192 credit points), beginning with four foundation courses (48 credit points) that introduce key concepts in communication theory and practice. Students then complete eight courses (96 credit points) from a chosen major, developing deeper expertise in a specific area of media and communication, followed by four courses (48 credit points) from a selected minor in media and communication studies. The structure ensures that students cannot double-count courses across majors or minors, and certain combinations of majors and minors may not be permitted, requiring adherence to approved enrolment plans. This integrated program develops both legal expertise and advanced communication skills, preparing graduates for careers in law, media, policy, corporate communication, and related interdisciplinary professional fields.
