COURSE CURRICULUM

Students must complete a total of 384 credit points over four years, structured through a combination of core subjects, core option courses, and two integrated minors. In the first year, students complete four first-year block courses and four core courses, building foundational knowledge in environmental science and sustainability concepts. The second year includes three core courses, one core option course, and 48 credit points from selected minors, allowing students to begin specialising while strengthening interdisciplinary understanding. In the third year, students undertake five core courses and one core option course, along with a further 24 credit points from minors, deepening both scientific and sustainability-focused learning. The final year consists of two core courses, three core option courses, and the remaining 24 credit points from minors, culminating in advanced study and applied learning experiences. A key requirement of the program is the completion of two minors: one from the Sustainability and Society minor list and one from the Environmental Science minor list. This structure ensures students graduate with a balanced combination of scientific expertise and social awareness, enabling them to analyse environmental challenges and contribute to sustainable solutions in professional, policy, and community contexts.
