COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology integrated degree combines comprehensive exercise science education with advanced clinical training to prepare students for professional practice as Accredited Exercise Physiologists. The Bachelor component builds a strong foundation in allied health, research, human physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, exercise psychology, motor control, sport psychology, exercise prescription, and practical exercise delivery. Students develop essential skills in assessing physical performance, designing exercise programs, and applying evidence-based approaches to improve health and wellbeing. The course also includes an Exercise Science Practicum, providing valuable industry experience. The Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology expands students’ expertise through advanced study in cardiopulmonary, metabolic, and neuromuscular rehabilitation, clinical research, workplace injury prevention, and professional allied health practice. A significant practicum component allows students to gain hands-on experience managing clients with complex health conditions and developing tailored exercise interventions. This integrated program develops advanced clinical, analytical, communication, and research skills required for healthcare settings. Graduates are prepared for careers as Accredited Exercise Physiologists, rehabilitation consultants, exercise scientists, and allied health professionals working in hospitals, private clinics, disability services, aged care, research organisations, and government sectors.
