COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and Bachelor of Business double degree at Murdoch University consists of 96 credit points, combining comprehensive sport science education with essential business knowledge. The course includes 72 credit points of core units, with 60 credit points dedicated to Sport and Exercise Science studies. Students develop a strong foundation in allied health, research methods, coaching, communication, human physiology, functional anatomy, exercise psychology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control, sport psychology, exercise prescription, clinical exercise applications, and evidence-based practice. Practical learning is enhanced through the Exercise Science Practicum, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world sport, fitness, and health environments. The Business component includes 12 credit points of core study covering Foundations of Business Law, Introduction to Accounting, and Foundations of Economics, along with a specified elective in either Management in a Global Environment or Global Marketing. Students also complete a 24-credit-point major in either Management or Marketing, developing skills in leadership, strategic planning, consumer engagement, and business operations. This integrated structure prepares graduates with both scientific expertise and commercial capabilities, enabling them to design exercise programs, improve athletic performance, manage sporting organisations, and pursue careers in sports administration, marketing, performance analysis, fitness, health promotion, and business management within the growing global sport industry.
