COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Forensic Science double degree combines comprehensive legal training with specialised scientific knowledge to prepare students for careers in law, criminal investigation, and forensic fields. The Law component develops essential legal skills through core units including foundations of law, criminal law and procedure, torts, contracts, property law, constitutional law, evidence, trusts, administrative law, corporations law, civil procedure, and professional responsibility. Students also complete law electives to broaden their understanding of specialist legal areas. The Forensic Science component provides a strong scientific foundation through studies in human biology, medical and molecular sciences, cell biology, chemistry, forensic science, and statistical analysis. Students specialise in Forensic Biology, gaining knowledge and practical skills relevant to biological evidence, crime investigation, and scientific analysis. This interdisciplinary program enables students to understand how legal systems use scientific evidence to investigate and resolve criminal matters. Graduates develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, research skills, and the ability to interpret complex scientific and legal information.
