COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Biomedical Science double degree combines comprehensive legal education with advanced knowledge of human health and biomedical science. The Law component develops essential legal skills through core units covering foundations of law, criminal law, torts, contracts, property law, constitutional law, evidence, administrative law, corporations law, civil procedure, and professional ethics. Students also complete specified law electives to expand their understanding of specialist legal areas. The Biomedical Science component provides a strong scientific foundation through studies in human biology, chemistry, cell biology, medical and molecular sciences, anatomy, physiology, and statistical data analysis. Students can specialise in a Biomedical Science major such as Biomedicine, Genetics and Biotechnology, or Clinical Laboratory Science, gaining deeper expertise in areas related to healthcare, research, and emerging medical technologies. The program develops critical thinking, analytical skills, scientific investigation abilities, legal reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities. Graduates are prepared for careers that combine science and law, including legal practice, health regulation, biomedical research, biotechnology, government policy, compliance, and healthcare-related industries.
