COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Clinical Chiropractic at Murdoch University consists of 120 credit points, combining foundational health science education with advanced chiropractic training. The Bachelor of Health Science component includes 48 credit points, with core units focused on allied health foundations, human physiology, functional human anatomy, exercise and health psychology, research skills, and evidence-based practice. Students complete a 24-credit-point Movement Science major, developing knowledge of human movement, biomechanics, and physical function, along with Discovery Study and option units to broaden their learning. The Master of Clinical Chiropractic component comprises 72 credit points of specialised chiropractic education and clinical preparation. Students undertake advanced studies in diagnosis, clinically oriented anatomy, rehabilitation, chiropractic practice, diagnostic imaging, differential diagnosis, public health, professional practice management, mental health in chiropractic care, neuromuscular rehabilitation, workplace injury prevention, and research methods. A significant focus is placed on practical clinical experience through pre-clinical practicums and a 9-credit-point Clinical Practicum, allowing students to apply their knowledge in supervised patient care settings. This comprehensive structure develops the clinical, diagnostic, research, and professional skills required for chiropractic practice. Graduates are prepared for careers in private clinics, allied health teams, sports medicine, rehabilitation services, workplace health, research, and other healthcare environments.
