COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Agricultural Science and Bachelor of Business combined degree at Murdoch University consists of 96 credit points, integrating agricultural expertise with essential business knowledge to prepare students for careers in modern agribusiness. The course includes 36 credit points of core units, combining Agricultural Science and Business foundations. The Agricultural Science component covers sustainable agriculture, livestock science and genetics, chemistry, cell biology, and statistical data analysis, providing students with a strong scientific foundation. Students also complete professional learning units that develop workplace skills through options such as farm placements, industry communication, livestock production, crop and pasture career skills, fieldwork, and agricultural case studies. The Business core includes key areas such as global management, accounting, marketing, business law, and economics, building essential commercial and leadership capabilities. Students complete 48 credit points of majors, selecting an Agricultural Science major in Animal Science, Crop and Pasture Science, or Animal Health, along with a Business major in International Business, Marketing, or Management. The program also includes Discovery Study, options, and opportunities to complete complementary minors in areas such as animal production, crop science, finance, human resources, management, or marketing. This flexible structure equips graduates with scientific, technical, and business skills for careers as agricultural scientists, farm managers, agronomists, agricultural economists, and agribusiness professionals.
