COURSE CURRICULUM

The structure of this master’s program centres on completing an original research project that combines written, creative and visual components. Under the guidance of an academic supervisor, students develop and investigate a research topic approved by the faculty, engaging in seminars and other scholarly activities throughout their enrolment. The course requires the production of a written exegesis of 10,000 to 20,000 words, which critically reflects on the research process, contextualises the creative work and meets the standards set by examiners. Alongside the written component, students must present an exhibition of original creative or visual work, which forms a core part of the examination. This exhibition is documented and submitted as part of the final assessment to demonstrate the research outcomes achieved at the master’s level. Students are also encouraged to follow a targeted program of professional development focused on research methods to strengthen their academic and creative practice. The blend of research, written analysis and creative production provides a comprehensive framework for exploring ideas through artistic practice.
