COURSE CURRICULUM

The course requires the successful completion of 96 credit points and is structured to provide a comprehensive balance of academic study, professional training and practical clinical experience. The program consists of two key components: Part A, Core Studies, which accounts for 78 credit points, and Part B, Clinical Placement, which comprises 18 credit points. The Core Studies component provides advanced education in clinical psychology, covering areas such as psychological assessment, diagnosis, case formulation, evidence-based interventions, mental health treatment, ethical practice, research methods and culturally responsive care. Through this coursework, students develop the theoretical knowledge, critical thinking skills and professional competencies required to work effectively with individuals experiencing a wide range of psychological and mental health difficulties. The Clinical Placement component allows students to apply their learning in real-world professional settings under the supervision of experienced clinical psychologists. These placements provide valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience in assessment, intervention, treatment planning and client care while working with diverse populations across various healthcare and community environments.
