COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) at Monash University requires the completion of 192 credit points, which are structured as core studies across the entire duration of the course. This means the program is fully integrated and professionally focused, with no separate elective or major streams, ensuring that all students graduate with the same essential knowledge and clinical competencies required for speech pathology practice. The core studies provide a comprehensive foundation in the science of communication, including anatomy, physiology, linguistics, psychology, and human development. Students also study specialised areas such as speech and language disorders, voice and fluency disorders, motor speech impairments, swallowing and feeding difficulties, and augmentative and alternative communication systems.
