COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Global Studies double degree at Monash University requires the completion of 192 credit points, consisting of 96 credit points in the Science component and 96 credit points in the Global Studies component. The Science component provides students with a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and methods across disciplines such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, environmental science, physics, and related fields. Students develop essential skills in critical thinking, data analysis, experimental design, and quantitative reasoning, which are crucial for understanding scientific problems and applying evidence-based solutions. This component also allows students to specialise in a chosen scientific area depending on their interests and career goals. The Global Studies component focuses on understanding global systems, cultures, and international issues, including topics such as global politics, development, human rights, sustainability, and intercultural relations.
