COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science Advanced – Research (Honours) at Monash University requires the completion of 192 credit points, structured across four components that combine foundational science, specialised study, flexibility, and advanced research training. Part A, Science Specified Study (30 credit points), provides essential core scientific grounding, focusing on key concepts, methodologies, and skills that support advanced study across scientific disciplines. Part B, Science Listed Major (96 credit points), forms the central focus of the degree and allows students to specialise deeply in a chosen scientific field such as biology, chemistry, environmental science, physics, mathematics, or related disciplines. This component builds advanced disciplinary knowledge and technical expertise. Part C, Free Elective Study (18 credit points), offers flexibility for students to broaden their academic experience by selecting additional science units or complementary subjects aligned with their interests and career goals.
