COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Arts double degree requires the completion of 192 credit points, consisting of 108 credit points in the Psychology component and 84 credit points in the Arts component. The Psychology component provides students with a comprehensive and scientifically grounded understanding of human behaviour, cognition, and mental processes. Students complete an accredited sequence of psychology units covering key areas such as developmental psychology, social psychology, cognitive psychology, biological psychology, personality, and research methods. This component also includes advanced study and discipline streams that allow students to specialise in areas such as mental health, neuroscience, public health, or applied psychology, helping them build deeper expertise aligned with their interests and career goals. The Arts component complements psychology studies by offering a broad and flexible range of disciplines within the humanities and social sciences. Students may choose from areas such as sociology, history, languages, politics, media studies, international relations, and cultural studies. This component helps students develop critical thinking, communication, cultural awareness, and analytical skills while broadening their understanding of social and global contexts. The combination of 108 credit points in Psychology and 84 credit points in Arts creates a well-rounded interdisciplinary qualification.
