COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts double degree requires the completion of 192 credit points, consisting of 96 credit points in the Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) component and 96 credit points in the Arts component. The PPE component provides students with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in political theory, ethical reasoning, and economic analysis. Students explore core ideas that shape societies and public life, including governance, policy-making, inequality, globalisation, and institutional design. This component develops advanced critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills by integrating insights from politics, philosophy, and economics to better understand complex social and global challenges. The Arts component complements this by offering a broad and flexible range of study areas, allowing students to tailor their degree to their interests and career goals. Students may choose from disciplines such as history, sociology, languages, media studies, international relations, psychology, cultural studies, and more. This component also provides opportunities for experiential learning through internships, global immersion programs, and professional placements, as well as the development of intercultural and innovation capabilities. The combination of 96 credit points in PPE and 96 credit points in Arts creates a well-rounded and highly adaptable qualification. By completing all 192 credit points, graduates gain strong analytical, communication, research, and cross-cultural skills, preparing them for careers in public policy, government, international organisations, consulting, media, business, and other fields requiring interdisciplinary thinking and global awareness.
