COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Science double degree requires the completion of 252 credit points, consisting of 156 credit points in the Law component and 96 credit points in the Science component. The Law component provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the Australian legal system and develops essential skills in legal reasoning, research, analysis, advocacy, and professional communication. Students study core areas such as constitutional law, criminal law, contract law, property law, administrative law, and legal ethics, along with opportunities to undertake specialised legal electives that deepen their understanding of legal principles and practice in both domestic and international contexts. The Science component offers a flexible and broad-based scientific education, allowing students to specialise in fields such as applied mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, biotechnology, or zoology, depending on their interests and career goals. Through laboratory work, field studies, and theoretical learning, students develop strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. The combination of 156 credit points in Law and 96 credit points in Science creates an interdisciplinary qualification that integrates legal expertise with scientific knowledge.
