COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Music double degree requires the completion of 252 credit points, consisting of 156 credit points in the Law component and 96 credit points in the Music component. The Law component provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the Australian legal system and develops essential skills in legal reasoning, research, analysis, advocacy, and professional communication. Students study core legal areas such as constitutional law, criminal law, contract law, property law, administrative law, and legal ethics, along with opportunities to explore specialised subjects that build depth in legal theory and practice. This prepares students for professional legal careers and further legal training pathways. The Music component complements legal studies by developing artistic, technical, and theoretical skills in music performance, composition, musicology, and/or music technology, depending on the chosen pathway. Students engage in both practical and academic learning, enhancing creativity, discipline, collaboration, and critical listening skills. The combination of 156 credit points in Law and 96 credit points in Music creates a distinctive interdisciplinary qualification that integrates analytical legal training with creative and expressive musical study. By completing all 252 credit points, graduates develop a unique blend of critical thinking, communication, performance, and research skills.
