COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce double degree requires the completion of 252 credit points, consisting of 156 credit points in the Law component and 96 credit points in the Commerce component. The Law component provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the Australian legal system and develops essential legal skills in research, analysis, reasoning, advocacy, and professional communication. Students study core areas of law such as constitutional law, criminal law, contract law, property law, administrative law, and legal ethics, while also having opportunities to undertake specialized subjects including corporate law, taxation law, international law, business transactions, and industrial relations. The Commerce component complements legal studies by providing a strong foundation in business and economic principles. Students can explore areas such as accounting, finance, economics, management, marketing, actuarial studies, econometrics, business statistics, international commerce, and sustainability. Through these studies, they gain valuable quantitative, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills that support understanding of modern business environments.
