COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Science double degree requires the completion of 192 credit points, with the program evenly divided between the two disciplines. Students must complete 96 credit points in the Information Technology component and 96 credit points in the Science component, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive education that integrates technical expertise with scientific knowledge. The Information Technology component develops essential skills in areas such as programming, software development, business information systems, cybersecurity, data management, networking, and emerging technologies. Through these studies, students gain the ability to design, implement, and manage technology solutions that address complex problems across a range of industries. The Science component provides in-depth knowledge within a chosen scientific field and may include studies in biological sciences, biomedical and behavioural sciences, earth and environmental sciences, mathematical and computational sciences, or physical and chemical sciences. Students engage in scientific inquiry, data analysis, research methods, and practical laboratory or field-based learning experiences that strengthen their analytical and problem-solving abilities. The equal distribution of credit points between Information Technology and Science encourages interdisciplinary learning and allows students to apply technological solutions to scientific challenges.
