COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science double degree requires the completion of 240 credit points, integrating advanced engineering education with in-depth scientific study. The Engineering component consists of 144 credit points and provides students with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, design, and core engineering principles, followed by specialised study in a chosen engineering discipline such as civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, environmental, materials, mechatronics, or software engineering. This component develops the ability to analyse complex systems, design engineering solutions, and apply scientific and technical knowledge to real-world problems. The Science component consists of 96 credit points and allows students to explore a wide range of scientific disciplines, including chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, statistics, environmental science, genetics, ecology, or computational science. Through these studies, students develop strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills while deepening their understanding of natural and physical systems. The combination of engineering and science enables students to connect theoretical scientific knowledge with practical engineering applications, fostering innovation across multiple disciplines. Upon completion of all 240 credit points, graduates are well prepared for careers in engineering, scientific research, environmental science, data analysis, technology development, and interdisciplinary roles across industry and academia. This double degree also supports further study at postgraduate level, equipping students with strong technical, scientific, and analytical skills needed to address complex global challenges in areas such as sustainability, health, energy, and advanced technology development.
