COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Information Technology double degree requires the completion of 240 credit points, integrating core engineering education with advanced studies in computing and digital systems. The Engineering component consists of 144 credit points and provides students with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, engineering design, systems thinking, and problem-solving, followed by specialised study in a chosen engineering discipline. This component develops the ability to analyse complex engineering problems, design effective solutions, and apply engineering principles across a range of real-world applications. The Information Technology component consists of 96 credit points and focuses on key areas such as programming, software development, data structures, algorithms, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and systems analysis. Students gain practical experience in designing and implementing software systems and using digital tools to support engineering processes. The combination of both components enables students to work across engineering and IT domains, applying computational methods to enhance engineering design, data analysis, automation, and digital innovation. This interdisciplinary structure reflects the growing importance of digital technologies in modern engineering practice.
