COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Business double degree requires the completion of 192 credit points, with the program evenly divided between the two disciplines to ensure a balanced combination of creative and commercial education. The Design component consists of 96 credit points and focuses on developing practical, studio-based skills in areas such as Communication Design, Industrial Design, Spatial Design, or Collaborative Design. Students learn to apply design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving to real-world challenges, using human-centred approaches to create innovative and functional solutions. This component builds technical abilities, conceptual thinking, and an understanding of how design can influence behaviour, experiences, and systems. The Business component also comprises 96 credit points and provides a strong foundation in core business areas such as management, marketing, accounting, economics, and business strategy. Students gain analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills that help them understand how organisations operate and succeed in competitive environments. Together, the two components create an interdisciplinary program that integrates creative design practice with business knowledge, preparing graduates to work across both industries. Throughout the degree, students develop valuable transferable skills including communication, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. The structure ensures that all academic requirements are met while allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests.
