COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Global Studies double degree requires the completion of 192 credit points, with an equal distribution between the two disciplines to ensure a balanced and interdisciplinary education. The Commerce component consists of 96 credit points and provides students with a strong foundation in core business areas such as accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing science, and sustainability. This component develops students’ analytical and quantitative skills, enabling them to understand how businesses operate, make decisions, and respond to global economic and commercial challenges using data-driven approaches. The Global Studies component also comprises 96 credit points and focuses on understanding global issues, international systems, and cultural diversity. Students explore topics such as poverty, inequality, human rights, development, global politics, and social justice, while also engaging with solutions-based approaches to these challenges. The program encourages international perspectives and may include opportunities for overseas study, exchange programs, and global immersion experiences. Together, the two components form an integrated degree that combines commercial expertise with a deep understanding of global contexts and challenges. Throughout the program, students develop essential transferable skills including communication, critical thinking, teamwork, research, leadership, problem-solving, and cultural awareness. The structure ensures that students meet all academic requirements while gaining depth in both fields. Upon completion of all 192 credit points, graduates earn both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Global Studies, opening diverse career pathways in government, international organisations, non-profit sectors, global business, and policy-focused roles.
