COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business at Monash University is a structured undergraduate program comprising a total of 144 credit points, designed to provide students with a strong foundation in core business knowledge while allowing flexibility for specialisation and applied learning. The degree is divided into four key parts. Part A consists of 48 credit points of core studies, which introduce essential business principles and provide a broad understanding of key areas such as management, economics, accounting, marketing, and business fundamentals. Part B includes 42 credit points of major studies, where students choose a specialised area to develop deeper expertise in a specific field of business aligned with their interests and career goals. Part C is the capstone component of 6 credit points, which integrates learning from across the degree through applied, real-world problem-solving and strategic analysis, helping students demonstrate their overall business competence. Part D consists of 48 credit points of elective studies, allowing students to broaden their knowledge across different disciplines or further deepen their chosen major. This flexible yet structured approach ensures that students graduate with both a strong general business foundation and specialised expertise. Throughout the program, students develop practical skills in critical thinking, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving, preparing them for diverse careers in business, finance, marketing, consulting, entrepreneurship, and other professional industries in both national and global contexts.
