The Master of Professional Accounting with a CPA Studies specialisation is a comprehensive program designed to prepare students for advanced professional roles in accounting, finance, and business leadership. The degree begins with a 40-credit-point Foundation Zone that builds essential knowledge through units such as Principles of Accounting, Business and Company Law, Principles of Finance, and Economics for Professionals, providing a strong grounding in core financial and business concepts. The Core Zone, worth 120 credit points, develops advanced technical expertise through essential units including Managerial Accounting for Decision Making, Financial Reporting Standards and Practice, Corporate Accounting, Current Issues in Accounting and Corporate Governance, and an Accounting Capstone. Students also complete an elective unit such as Applied Taxation Law or Strategy, Performance and Financial Modelling, allowing for further professional focus. The 60-credit-point CPA Studies Specialisation is delivered in alignment with CPA Australia and focuses on developing leadership and advanced accounting capabilities.
