COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Professional Accounting with a CA Studies specialisation is a comprehensive program designed to develop highly skilled accounting professionals equipped for the demands of a global and rapidly evolving financial environment. The degree begins with a 40-credit-point Foundation Zone, providing essential knowledge in Principles of Accounting, Business and Company Law, Principles of Finance, and Economics for Professionals, ensuring students build a strong base in core business and financial concepts. The Core Zone, worth 120 credit points, develops advanced expertise through essential units such as Managerial Accounting for Decision Making, Financial Reporting Standards and Practice, Corporate Accounting, Current Issues in Accounting and Corporate Governance, and an Accounting Capstone. Students also complete an elective unit in areas such as Applied Taxation Law or Strategy, Performance and Financial Modelling, allowing further specialisation. The 60-credit-point CA Studies Specialisation, delivered in partnership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), focuses on professional practice and industry-aligned capabilities through units including Audit and Risk, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Tax, Integrated Chartered Accounting Practice, Risk, Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and Strategy and Business Performance. Together, these components develop strong technical, analytical, and strategic skills.
