COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Intelligence and Master of Strategy and Security double degree offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines advanced intelligence studies with specialised security and strategic expertise. The Master of Intelligence develops students’ understanding of intelligence collection, analysis, leadership, national security, open-source intelligence, cyber intelligence, and evidence-based decision-making while providing practical learning through simulations, supervised projects, and industry-relevant experiences. The program also enables students to strengthen their knowledge of intelligence operations, policy development, and emerging security challenges across government, defence, and corporate environments. Complementing this, the Master of Strategy and Security allows students to specialise in one of three key areas: Counter Terrorism, Defence and Strategy, or Cyber Intelligence. The Counter Terrorism specialisation focuses on preventing and responding to terrorism, violent extremism, and national security threats through intelligence-led approaches. Defence and Strategy develops expertise in military strategy, defence policy, international relations, and geopolitical analysis, preparing graduates for strategic planning and leadership roles. The Cyber Intelligence specialisation equips students with advanced knowledge of cyber threats, digital investigations, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, and risk management. Together, the two degrees develop critical thinking, strategic planning, analytical reasoning, leadership, and problem-solving skills, preparing graduates for careers in intelligence agencies, defence organisations, law enforcement, cybersecurity, government departments, international organisations, and private sector security, where they can address complex global security challenges effectively.
