COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Intelligence and Master of Laws double degree combines advanced analytical intelligence training with a strong foundation in international and specialised legal frameworks, preparing graduates for complex roles across government, security, policy and global organisations. The Intelligence component develops expertise in intelligence history, ethics, analysis and applied practice, with core focus areas such as open-source intelligence, intelligence-based decision making, leadership and the transformation of theory into operational practice. Students also build practical capability through units that simulate real-world intelligence environments, ensuring they can evaluate information critically and support high-level decision-making in dynamic and high-stakes contexts. Alongside this, the Law component provides rigorous training in key areas of international and contemporary legal practice, including public international law, human rights law, environmental and sustainability law, and the law of the sea. It also addresses emerging global challenges such as financial integrity, anti-money laundering and business and human rights, equipping students to operate confidently in highly regulated and transnational environments. Together, the program blends strategic thinking, ethical reasoning, legal interpretation and applied intelligence skills, enabling graduates to navigate complex global issues where law, security and policy intersect, and to contribute effectively to organisations working at national and international levels.
