The Master of Criminology and Master of International Relations double degree offers a structured and comprehensive curriculum designed to develop advanced analytical, theoretical, and applied knowledge in crime, justice, and global politics. The Master of Criminology core zone includes essential units such as Global Crime and Justice, Criminology in Practice, Technology, Surveillance and Policing, Incarceration, Justice and Punishment, Crime, Inequality and Justice, Advanced Criminology Theory, and Crime Prevention. These subjects provide students with a deep understanding of contemporary criminological issues, including the impact of technology on policing, the role of inequality in justice systems, evidence-based evaluation, and modern approaches to crime prevention and correctional systems. Students can further customise their learning through electives such as Data, Evidence and Evaluation in Criminology or Intelligence-Based Decision Making, enhancing their analytical and decision-making capabilities. Complementing this, the Master of International Relations core includes essential units in Technology, Power and Uneven Development, International Relations Practice, Security in World Politics, Europe and the World, Methodological and Theoretical Approaches to World Politics, The Middle East in Global Politics, International Political Economy, and International Law in Global Politics.
