The Master of Commerce (MCom) with a specialisation in International Business is designed to develop professionals capable of operating effectively in a complex and highly interconnected global economy. The program begins with a 40-credit-point Foundation Zone for students from non-business backgrounds, providing essential knowledge through elective units such as Principles of Accounting, Principles of Finance, Economics for Professionals, Introduction to Marketing Management, Work, Organisation and Management, and Introduction to Inference, Modelling and Forecasting. This stage builds a strong base in core business and analytical disciplines. The Core Zone, worth 80 credit points, enhances professional capability through essential units including Business Ethics and Sustainability, Management of Data, Analytics and Change, and Contemporary Business Issues. Students also choose electives such as Corporate Finance, Managerial Accounting for Decision Making, Business Analytics Techniques, Globalisation and Supply Chain Management, or a Business Internship for practical experience. The 40-credit-point International Business Specialisation focuses on advanced global business competencies through key units including International Financial Management, International Business Strategy, International Human Resource Management, and International Marketing. These subjects equip students with the skills to manage cross-border operations, develop global strategies, and understand international markets and cultural diversity.
