COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Clinical Audiology is a comprehensive, practice-oriented program designed to develop highly skilled clinicians capable of diagnosing and managing hearing and balance disorders across the lifespan. The Core Zone, comprising 160 credit points, forms the central structure of the degree and focuses on building advanced theoretical knowledge alongside extensive clinical expertise. Students begin with foundational units such as Research and Evidence-Based Practice, Acoustics and Psychoacoustics, and Ear and Hearing Assessments, which establish a strong scientific basis for audiological practice. This is complemented by progressive clinical training through Clinical Practice in Audiology I–IV, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world healthcare environments under supervision. The curriculum also includes specialised areas such as Hearing Devices, Advanced Hearing Devices, Childhood Hearing Assessments, Aural Rehabilitation, and Management of Childhood Hearing Loss, ensuring graduates are prepared to work with both adult and paediatric populations. Advanced studies in ear and hearing disorders further strengthen diagnostic and management capabilities. The program culminates in an Audiology Project, which develops research and critical thinking skills essential for evidence-based practice. Overall, the Core Zone equips students with the clinical competence, technical expertise, and professional confidence required for careers in hospitals, private clinics, cochlear implant services, and specialised hearing healthcare settings globally.
