This stage ensures students develop strong technical and analytical foundations. The Core Zone, worth 120 credit points, focuses on advanced business analytics capabilities through units including Techniques in Business Analytics, Applied Predictive Analytics, Management of Data, Analytics and Change, Data and Visualisation for Business, Business Analytics Project, Project Management, Applied Business Information Systems, Business Ethics and Sustainability, Cyber Security, Governance Frameworks and Ethics, and Big Data. These units integrate business strategy with advanced analytical tools and technologies to solve real-world problems. Students also complete electives such as FinTech and Innovation, Payments and Cryptocurrencies, Visualisation and Analysis of Multivariate Data, and Business Internship, allowing them to tailor their learning.
