COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Applied Economics and the Master of Management together provide a combined pathway that blends economic analysis with leadership and organisational capability. The Applied Economics component develops strong foundations in microeconomics, macroeconomics, applied econometrics and policy analysis, equipping you to interpret how markets, governments and industries respond to economic forces. Students then extend their expertise through electives such as health economics, environmental and climate policy, international trade, development economics, public policy issues, business analytics and international finance, allowing flexibility to align study with specific policy or industry interests. In parallel, the Management component builds core capabilities in leadership, digital innovation, global management, strategic change and project management, supported by a capstone project that integrates learning into real-world problem solving. Elective options such as entrepreneurship, negotiation, people management, data-driven decision-making and corporate finance further enhance professional versatility. Together, these programs develop graduates who can combine quantitative economic reasoning with strategic management insight, enabling them to analyse complex problems, guide organisational decisions, and operate effectively across public, private and global sectors in dynamic and data-driven environments.
