COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Psychology double degree features an integrated curriculum that combines comprehensive legal education with scientific training in psychology. The Bachelor of Laws includes 240 credit points, comprising core units in foundations of law, contracts, criminal justice, public international law, jurisprudence, property law, business organisations, torts, equity and trusts, constitutional law, civil and criminal procedure, administrative law, and evidence. Students complete the capstone unit Remedies, Reparations and Resolution in Law, undertake practical experience through PACE placements or legal clinics, and choose from a broad range of electives, including family law, intellectual property, law and technology, climate change law, environmental law, health law and ethics, international human rights law, taxation, corporate governance, and legal research. The Bachelor of Psychology consists of 160 credit points and provides a strong foundation in psychological theory, research methods, health, cognition, development, wellbeing, and evidence-based practice. Core units cover social and personality psychology, developmental psychology, perception and cognition, biopsychology, psychopathology, research design, and statistics, culminating in the PACE: Psychological Science: Putting Theory into Practice capstone. Together, the two programs develop advanced analytical, research, ethical reasoning, communication, and problem-solving skills, preparing graduates for careers in law, psychology, policy, research, public service, and interdisciplinary professional practice.
