COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws curriculum is structured into three main components: Core Zone, Electives, and Flexible Zone, providing a comprehensive legal education with opportunities for specialization and practical experience. The Core Zone comprises 240 credit points, including 140 credit points of essential units that cover the fundamental areas of law such as Foundations of Law, Law, Lawyers and Society, Contracts, Criminal Justice, Public International Law, Jurisprudence, Property Law, Business Organisations, Torts, Equity and Trusts, Constitutional Law, Civil and Criminal Procedure, Administrative Law, and Evidence. Students also complete a final-year Capstone unit, *Remedies, Reparations and Resolution in Law*, which integrates legal knowledge and professional skills developed throughout the program. Practical learning is enhanced through PACE elective options, allowing students to undertake industry placements, legal clinics, or project-based experiences. An additional 80 credit points of elective units enable students to specialise in areas such as Family Law, Intellectual Property Law, Environmental Law, Climate Change Law, Human Rights, Taxation, Health Law, Corporate Governance, Law and Technology, International Law, and Legal Research. The Flexible Zone comprises 80 credit points, allowing students to broaden their education by completing a second major, a minor, or elective units from a wide range of disciplines. This curriculum develops strong legal knowledge, analytical reasoning, advocacy, research, and professional skills, preparing graduates for careers across legal practice, government, business, policy, and international organisations.
