COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of International Studies (Global Leadership and Communication major) is a 240-credit-point program structured into a 160-credit-point core zone and an 80-credit-point major, designed to develop globally aware, adaptive, and culturally intelligent graduates. The core zone provides foundational interdisciplinary learning through units such as Grand Challenges and Systems Thinking (INTS1001), Unlearning Culture: Myths, People, and Change (INTS1002), Understanding Global Systems: Power and Governance (INTS1003), and Ways of Knowing: Interdisciplinary Thinking for Global Challenges (INTS1004), which build critical thinking and systems-based understanding of global issues. Students further develop applied skills through Strategic Communication and Cultural Narratives (INTS2002), Cultural Intelligence and Problem Solving (INTS2003), and an Intercultural Immersion experience (INTS3001), which enhances real-world cross-cultural engagement. The degree culminates in a capstone unit, PACE: Global Futures Challenge Lab (INTS3002), where students apply interdisciplinary knowledge to real global challenges in practical settings. The Global Leadership and Communication major focuses on leadership, diplomacy, communication, and strategic thinking, equipping students to work effectively across cultures and complex international environments. Overall, the program integrates global studies, cultural intelligence, communication strategy, and applied problem-solving, preparing graduates for careers in international relations, diplomacy, global policy, communication, and leadership roles that require the ability to navigate and influence complex global systems.
