COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws double degree combines advanced economic analysis with comprehensive legal training, equipping students with the ability to understand markets, policy, regulation, and legal systems in an integrated way. The Bachelor of Economics core includes essential units such as Economics and Business Strategy, Economics and the Global Economy, Business Statistics and Insights, Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Analysis, Econometrics, Public Economics, and Behavioural Economics. Students also complete a capstone unit in Current Issues in Economics through PACE, along with electives in areas such as financial institutions, labour markets and artificial intelligence, money and finance, financial econometrics, environmental economics, international finance, health economics, and economic development, as well as foundational subjects in data, accounting, programming, and quantitative methods. The Bachelor of Laws component includes 240 credit points covering foundational and advanced legal study, including contracts, criminal justice, torts, property law, constitutional law, administrative law, evidence, equity and trusts, jurisprudence, public international law, and business organisations. Students also complete a law capstone unit focused on remedies and resolution, undertake practical placements or clinics through PACE, and choose from a wide range of electives such as human rights law, environmental law, taxation, intellectual property, family law, law and technology, and international legal studies. Together, the program develops strong analytical, legal reasoning, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, preparing graduates for careers in law, economics, policy, consulting, finance, and public service.
