COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce with a major in International Business is a 240 credit point program designed to develop strong global business knowledge, analytical skills and cross-cultural understanding. The core zone of 70 credit points builds a broad foundation in accounting for decision making, finance fundamentals, economics and business strategy, management, marketing, business statistics and employability skills. These units develop essential business capabilities such as analytical thinking, communication and problem-solving. The final-year capstone unit, Capstone: Agility and Excellence in Business (10 credit points), integrates learning from across the degree and allows students to apply strategic thinking to complex business challenges. The International Business major contributes 80 credit points and focuses on preparing students for global careers. It includes essential units such as Introduction to Global Business, International Business Operations, Cross Cultural Management, Ethics and Sustainability Management, Global Business Strategy and the PACE International Business Project, which provides real-world industry experience. Students also complete 20 credit points of electives, choosing from options like Business Forecasting, Asian Business Environment, The Art of Negotiation and International Study Tour, allowing for specialisation and global exposure. Overall, the program develops expertise in global markets, multinational operations, cultural management and international strategy.
