COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Analytics and Bachelor of Economics double degree combines advanced data science training with rigorous economic analysis, equipping students with strong quantitative, computational, and problem-solving skills for data-driven industries. The Bachelor of Business Analytics core includes essential units such as Introduction to Data, Analytics and People, Python Programming, Database Design and Management, Data Visualisation and Storytelling, Data Science, Statistical Data Analytics, Database Systems, Business Forecasting, Advanced Analytics Techniques, Cyber Security Governance and Ethics, Information Systems for Management, and Business Applications of Artificial Intelligence. Students also complete a PACE capstone project in Business Analytics and select electives in areas such as quantitative economics, accounting, professional practice, business communication, and applied artificial intelligence. The Bachelor of Economics component provides a strong foundation in economic theory and quantitative methods through units in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, public economics, behavioural economics, and statistics. Students further specialise through electives in financial institutions, labour markets and artificial intelligence, money and finance, environmental economics, international finance, macroeconomic policy, and economic development, along with additional quantitative and data-focused subjects. A PACE capstone in current economic issues ensures applied industry engagement. Together, the program integrates analytics and economics to prepare graduates for careers in data science, consulting, finance, policy analysis, and technology-driven organisations, with strong expertise in both technical data systems and economic decision-making.
