COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business with a major in Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to identify opportunities, develop innovative ideas and create new ventures in competitive and changing business environments. The program begins with core business units that build a strong foundation in leadership, business communication, decision-making, financial management, marketing, management and employability skills, helping students develop essential professional capabilities. In the final year, the Contemporary Business Challenges capstone unit integrates learning from across the degree, enabling students to apply strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to complex real-world issues. The Entrepreneurship major focuses on developing expertise in new venture creation, entrepreneurial thinking, business models, strategic creativity and innovation, negotiation, strategic management and new venture marketing. Students also complete the PACE Entrepreneurship Project, which provides hands-on experience in developing and applying business ideas in collaboration with industry partners. Elective units such as finance and regulation for new ventures and social entrepreneurship allow students to further specialise and broaden their understanding of business creation in different contexts. This program encourages creativity, risk-taking, analytical thinking and strategic decision-making, equipping graduates with the ability to launch and manage businesses, drive innovation within organisations and identify growth opportunities. Career pathways include entrepreneurship, start-up development, business consulting, innovation management, project management and strategic roles in both private and public sector organisations, where adaptability and innovation are highly valued.
