COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Information Technology double degree combines a broad range of humanities disciplines with advanced information technology studies, enabling students to develop interdisciplinary knowledge and versatile professional skills. Within the Bachelor of Arts, students select a major from diverse fields including Critical Indigenous Studies, Sociology, Media, Culture and Communications, Anthropology, Japanese Studies, Creative Writing, English, Philosophy, Chinese Studies, French and Francophone Studies, German Studies, or Spanish and Latin American Studies. Each major comprises 80 credit points and allows students to build expertise in areas such as communication, culture, languages, critical analysis, social research, and creative expression. These studies complement the Bachelor of Information Technology, which focuses on developing technical knowledge in computing, software development, data management, cybersecurity, systems design, and emerging digital technologies. Together, the two programs provide a balanced curriculum that integrates analytical thinking, cultural awareness, communication, and problem-solving with practical IT capabilities. Students gain both theoretical understanding and applied experience through coursework, projects, and industry engagement, preparing them to work across diverse sectors where technology and human-centred perspectives intersect. This flexible course structure enables graduates to pursue careers in technology, digital media, business, public policy, education, communications, research, and other fields that value both technical expertise and strong interpersonal, analytical, and cross-cultural competencies.
