COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Nursing consists of 240 credit points and is designed to provide advanced nursing education, specialised clinical knowledge, leadership development, and professional practice skills. The course structure includes core subjects, a selected specialisation, advanced learning pathways, and elective components, enabling students to align their studies with their career goals. In Level One, students complete core subjects including Critical Nursing Essentials and Advanced Health Assessment, along with clinical quality improvement or recognised advanced standing credit. Students also undertake 60 credit points from their chosen specialisation, including the Medical Imaging specialisation. This specialisation focuses on developing the knowledge and skills required to provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care within medical imaging and radiology environments. Students gain expertise in managing patients undergoing procedures involving technologies such as X-ray, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The program enhances critical thinking, clinical decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills while preparing students to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. In Level Two, students select a learning pathway such as Advanced Clinical, Education and Management, Project, Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assistant, or Research, depending on eligibility and professional interests. Through the Medical Imaging specialisation, graduates develop advanced clinical proficiency and the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate care practices that improve patient experiences and outcomes in specialised healthcare settings.
